South Bite was born from a story of tradition, adventure, and a deep love for food!
Annalisa comes from Romagna, Italy, where her family ran a renowned seafood restaurant for 25 years. She grew up spending her summers working in hotels, cafés, and restaurants, surrounded by the rhythm of the kitchen and the scent of the sea.
Later, she followed her roots to Germany, where her father had opened another restaurant. There, she reconnected with his memory and started her own journey in gastronomy, eventually becoming a partner in two cafés specializing in coffee, chocolate, and sweets.
After moving to the United States and completing a professional culinary program, she met Ilary—her partner in visions, dreams, and shared recipes. Together, they created South Bite: a tribute to the street food of their home regions, blending honest flavors, family stories, and the joy of sharing.
Their mission? To win over San Francisco, one bite at a time.
